The Fab City Index reads twenty parts of a city's life: its economy, its energy, its waste, how its neighbourhoods make decisions. Each part needs a real source of data behind it. This is the desk where the people who run a city's data connect those sources and turn each reading into a score; the tool calls that step ingestion. What is already connected, what is still missing, where to work next. It is all here. For now the desk runs on sample records so you can see how it works; live operator accounts arrive with real data. This node, —, commits its data to the shared service that combines every city, and everything downstream — the public prototype, the phase plot, the comparison across pilots — is built from what you commit here.
The list is ordered by what needs attention first: sources that have gone stale, values the tool is unsure about, cells the method has flagged. It rebuilds every hour when the shared service pulls new data, and again each time you commit.
The point is where this city sits today. ρ is how fast a reading turns into action: a number no one acts on changes nothing. The dashed disc is the target the operator sets during onboarding. The peer points carry the mock label — sample data — until the shared service pulls the real numbers.
